The difference
Plenty of software will record a consultation. The question for a dietitian is what happens to the numbers, the instruments and the Nutrition Care Process once the recording stops.
A scribe gives you back what was said. Energy, protein and fluid targets, renal and TPN figures, nitrogen balance, paediatric BMI z-scores and wound requirements are arithmetic that has to be done and shown, and a transcript never does it.

On Pro, dictation produces a structured clinical note and the workflow assists with assessment, PES statements, interventions and monitoring. That is the Nutrition Care Process, not a summary bolted onto the side of it.

What it does

Data handling
The usual reason a health service says no to clinical software, so it is worth being exact rather than reassuring.
The application and database run in Sydney. There are no AI features on this plan, so nothing is sent to an AI provider. That is a property of the software rather than a setting: an Essentials account has no path to an overseas service.

Free-text is redacted on our Australian server before any AI call, but the redacted content still crosses the border.
